The MSU Foundation partnered with ICM to renovate and improve the foundation-owned hotel, originally built in 2015. The construction schedule was carefully planned to allow the hotel to continue welcoming guests during the renovation. The project included updates to 104 guest rooms, the lobby, bistro, conference room, and guest support areas. The renovations featured new carpet, flooring, wall coverings, paint, light fixtures, bathroom accessories, and furniture. Additionally, structural improvements were made to the flooring systems, and the electrical, plumbing, fire sprinkler, and HVAC systems were all upgraded.

ICM worked closely with Courtyard Marriott and its vendors for furniture, flooring, and furnishings to ensure that all room amenities were installed without disturbing other guests.

Throughout the construction process, ICM successfully exceeded the MSU Foundation's minimum required occupancy ratio, maintaining this success from low to peak seasons.
